The blend’s primary constituent is the dark-skinned Sangiovese grape, grown extensively in Tuscany and in a handful of places in the New World. What distinguishes the Chianti Blend from other wines is the addition of one or more of the Italian varieties, Canaiolo, Colorino, Ciliegiolo and Mammolo. This wine has been aged 7 months in an oak barrel, imparting a smoky nose.
