Barossa Montepulciano, or ‘Monte’, is a discovery we have great faith in. With its Mediterranean origins, it has natural agility to perform well in warm, dry conditions. We see it as a ‘gen next’ Barossa variety that will sit comfortably alongside existing regional classics. Our 2020 Montepulciano, grown across two sites in the Barossa, it has a raspberry licorice and boysenberry aroma, with choc-cherry, boysenberry and pomegranate curiosity. Colour: Crimson with ruby hue. Aroma: Boysenberry, raspberry licorice, black cherry with hints of bramble and dried bay leaf. Palate: Flavours of choc-cherry, boysenberry and pomegranate. Food Pairing: Wood fired pizza. Alcohol Volume: 14.3%
