The picturesque Burkes Hill vineyard sits just outside the township of Eden Valley, in the Barossa’s high country. A largely dry-grown vineyard on a gentle East facing slope, it produces Riesling of exceptional aromatic perfume and elegance, albeit in microscopic quantities.
Colour: Pale straw with green tints.
Aroma: Fragrant aromas of kaffir lime, citrus zest, white florals and bath salts.
Palate: The palate shows great purity of fruit with intense flavours of lemon and lime zest.
It is balanced by a long and mineral acid backbone, keeping the wine fresh and providing a long and focused finish. Kick back with a bottle of this and a dozen coffin bay oysters.
